I’m annoyed at myself because I’m actually feeling interested in the Ares movie. From all the talk I’ve been seeing, it seems (in many people’s opinion) to have had enough really good people involved that it turned out actually worth watching, despite the awfulness of both Disney and at least one of the main actors.

But I probably won’t get to actually see any version of the movie for quite a few months still.

… I’ve even been feeling a little tempted by the theater. Even though I still really, really don’t like going to theaters, and still don’t feel right anyway giving Disney any money for anything, no matter how good, because I don’t think the portion of it that goes to pay good people and encourage good fandoms is enough to be worth the bigger portion that goes to… whatever Disney’s latest atrocities are this week.

but the buzz among Tron fans about this movie is still enough to make me consider it. (I’m weak as hell. Even if morals were my main obstacle here, I give in to buying unethically for the sake of convenience all the damn time.)

I’m still probably not gonna give into this temptation, but that’s just because of me being weak for convenience again. It would be actually difficult for me to get to a theater showing it, even if I wanted to. (Can’t drive, would have to figure out a bus route, and am never at my best during daytime hours anyway ever since I started working overnights.)

So, I’ll keep reminding myself that it’s a thing I can look forward to around the depressing months at the end/beginning of the year, when a digital version will probably come out.

Long time to wait, but I’ll really need the mood boost then, so it’s okay.
