Athena is often just depicted in her armor and battle gear but in the ancient literature she also likes wearing pretty clothes that she made. She’s a goddess of crafts after all.
Athena in the ancient literature is a goddess of war and very good at fighting but she’s also a daddy’s girl and likes wearing pretty dresses.
She’s the one of the kids that goes “but daddy surely you don’t wanna kill that guy?” and Zeus goes “aw, anything for my sweet pea” but she also throws spears good and can beat up Ares and insult people because you can be a prissy whiny little princess and also beat people up real good.
I haven’t yet watched the movie Tron Ares, so unlike a lot of other Tronblrites I’m gonna just keep reading this type of post picturing the original Athena and Ares, as Zeus intended
difference between Tron and real Greek mythology: Zeus had two kids with the goddess Leto, but Zuse (as portrayed by Michael Sheen in Tron Legacy) would not have touched Jared Leto with his ten-foot pole
However
I always found it funny that the original Athena and Zeus had such a good relationship. Considering that Athena’s origin story was “dad heard a prophecy and got scared this kid was gonna be badass enough to overthrow him, so he ATE HER PREGNANT MOM, and not only did that badass fetus survive being devoured, she made her way to his HEAD (somehow growing up and managing to find or build armor and weapons along the way) and burst out like a little cerebral xenomorph”
(I think Zeus should probably be the patron god of ectopic pregnancies because that is not even the ONLY time he managed to get pregnant in a very non-standard part of his body. See Dionysius)
