Yeah. It would be real nice if they’d do that.

But I’m pretty sure that’s not the way they are.

I mean, if they’ve made a statement about retiring Tron permanently, I don’t necessarily believe it– Disney changes its mind all the time and you never know what they’re gonna come back to someday (sometimes decades and decades later).

But, even if they really never make any new Tron media ever again– they’ll still want to keep harvesting whatever no-effort income keeps coming in from everything they’ve already made.

I might be wrong. Perhaps there’s a way they could keep doing that and also sell the rights to make new works?

But I’m not aware of Disney ever selling the rights to anything before. So I don’t think so.
