me looking at Tron in Tron 1982 (which I haven’t seen in years & have completely forgotten about): man what a wholesome character. I sure hope nothing bad happens to him in the sequels.

so while the Tron on Flynn’s new grid went through absolute hell and we cannot undo that, we can take some solace in imagining that the other version of him that stayed behind in Encom got to keep being happy
…i mean. Until Flynn disappeared and Mackey Mouse took over the company n everything.
(At which time, of course, Tron decided to be the failure point in Encom’s security system that permitted Sam Flynn to keep breaking in and playing pranks. Because fuck the MCP and any users who try to be him.)
