So far, it’s not affecting me, apart from the fact that too much of the discussion in fandom is now about plot points in a movie I haven’t seen.

From what I’ve heard the movie’s not terrible, but also wasn’t profitable enough for Disney’s tastes– but then I wasn’t expecting it to be. Tron never is, and Disney didn’t really want to do anything more with it anyway.

I was already pretty resigned to it being one of those fandoms that the actual fans have to keep alive. (Which they do an absolutely awesome job of, when they want to! This is a great fandom! I’d MUCH rather enjoy several decades of constant Tron fanworks and zero Tron Disney-movies than the other way around!)

And yeah, I am interested enough to want to see the movie eventually, but not in a huge hurry.
