Doctor Who is like almost the exact opposite of Disney

“Tron Ares didn’t make us a ton of money even though we spent a TON of money on special effects. (This is the same thing that always happens with Tron, whose small target audience consists of computer nerds with ethics that condone piracy but do not condone giving Disney any money.) We will now use this failure as an excuse to claim that we’ll never do any Tron ever again, which we already weren’t gonna do before Jared Leto talked us into this”

If Tron was a spinoff of Doctor Who:

“new Tron movie coming out will be 40% about various previously unaddressed philosophical/ethical implications of the existence of living programs and lasers that can let us visit them in there… 60% about brilliantly explored character development and relationship drama involving those programs and users. There will be absolutely A+ acting and directing but the special effects will be hand-sewn bodysuits with reflective tape on them and sets built out of cardboard and bubble wrap, lit with offscreen color-changing LEDs or something. It will be the best Tron movie ever made, by a factor of like 700”
