I know I reblogged the same gif set earlier with commentary but I can I just take a moment to say how incredibly DORKY they both are in this? I mean Alan’s little grin as he’s like “teehee we are using super secret nicknames that we don’t even know what they mean heeheeheehee” and he is like a GROWN MAN COME ON ALAN this isn’t your little clubhouse or anything. And then Roy complaining that Flynn didn’t give him the “cool” nickname you guys are eight okay.

LOVE this little short…. and yeah, it is what inspired me to write my own (technically sorta canon-compatible) version of what happened between the movies

…one thing the Tron franchise has always been great at is the extra scenes that only show up as extras on disc, or maybe on YouTube.
The other really amazing one for fanfic is the Tron/Yori Love Scene
which gave us, of course, the Sexy Purple Circuit Trope, and Yori’s sparkle-cape outfit…
But also the additional Yori Lore about how she’s an even more badass hacker and Simulation Expert and capable planner than we saw in the rest of the movie, and a magical girl who can transform her appearance at will.
Because why not. Why should there be any limit on Yori’s awesomeness
Or Alan’s, or Roy’s.
I truly do love how all the little extra scenes for Tron do so much to expand on characters.
Because as fans, that’s of course what we wanted to do already – and it gives us such a great jumping-off place to start from.
