I just found out that one of my friends has a specific ADHD thing where they struggle to eat a good meal unless they have someone else to cook for. And they’re a great cook.

I have almost the exact inverse, where I’m a terrible cook with ADHD and I struggle to eat a good meal unless someone else is cooking. But I am an enthusiastic appreciator of the skill and effort and artistry involved in cooking. And doing someone else’s dishes or cleaning the kitchen costs me zero energy. I would honestly rather clean an entire greasy stove until it sparkles than spend 20 minutes cooking anything.

I think we are about to do some exquisite food mutualism ❤️

awwww we’re roommates now and we have dinner together every night 💚

this living situation is so funny to me because we look an awful lot like a gay couple who are extremely closeted in an old-fashioned bachelor type of way. but they’re not a man and they’re not into men. there’s sincerely nothing romantic or sexual between us. We have dinner together by candlelight, call each other ‘dear’, spoil the dog rotten, and practice our choir music together over coffee on Sunday mornings. and we actually are Just Roommates™ 😂

Still living the dream, btw. They bought a big old house and there’s gonna be 5 queers living there - me, my roommate, their girlfriend, and two of our friends. We’re renovating. Every room is getting painted a bright color; we’ll have the whole Gilbert Baker flag. I learned how to use an angle grinder today. We’re gonna plant a garden in the spring. I’ll have a sewing room to get my treasured old Singer set up in so I can be our resident tailor. We’ll soon have 3 cats to spoil, in addition to the dog. I got a better job that doesn’t make me die

I think I’m… okay? I think I’m okay. I think this might be what 'doing okay’ feels like.

this. this is the dream.

(my dream too. my house is pretty much ready for this now. nerd frineds come live with me <3 <3 <3)
