Perhaps the way he seems to boost Tron’s escape-artist ability by getting him to ride out through that crack in the lightcycle arena… And how he charges Yori back to life when she thinks Tron’s dead and is losing her will to survive… And, of course, his jump into the MCP that helped Tron get in the killing blow in his final fight.

Come to think of it, Flynn’s really more of the programs’ cheerleader than a hero in his own right…
