So in 2021 I was hacking on an IBM Monochrome Display Adapter to change the font on it, and my code accidentally inverted all the letters. You can see in the menu at the top, the letters are in the right order, but the letters themselves are flipped.
So I did the “obvious” thing and wrote something using only horizontally symmetric letters, making it appear normal.
I am intrigued by how you accomplished this font modification. As far as I know the MDA stores its font in ROM so it’s impossible to modify in software, so I assume you achieved this via different means?
I am intrigued at the idea that this paragraph “appears normal”
(I know what you mean. It’s just funny in the same way it’s funny when someone says I draw “traditional art” and it’s a pen and ink sketch of Crom from Tron: 1982 with six tentacles that he’s using to wield the entire first season of Babylon 5 as disc weapons)
