Tron and Garak would bounce off each other’s personalities so hard it would be hilarious. Garak is like an infinitely more clever Sark or Dillinger. No, scratch that, Garak would figure out in like 5 seconds that Dillinger’s “top level security code” password was “Master,” and he would hack the MCP so fast it would not even be funny.
Somehow he ends up inside the computer and Tron trusts him about as much as he trusted Flynn at first (and for similar reasons just barely manages not to kill him). They form an alliance after Ram sluts himself out and becomes fast friends-with-benefits.
Julian Bashir eventually rescues him in a way that has EVERYONE grateful, even Dillinger to the point of naming his grandson after him
