man i totally forgot how weird people are about the “female orgasm.” like when I was younger i heard it talked about like an anomaly of science. and specifically people would ask shit like “what is the ‘evolutionary purpose’ of the ‘female orgasm’”. i dunno man its not hard to conclude that sex feeling awesome results in having more sex. but I guess that question seems more interesting if youre a fake intellectual and see men and women as different species and not made up of the same flesh and nerves. come on now.

I always assumed the question was “why are the nerves of the clitoris/vulva arranged in such a way that it actually feels better to do stuff that doesn’t involve putting a penis inside there… surely evolution would rather encourage procreative sex acts”

to which my answer would mostly be “evolution doesn’t prefer anything, it’s a huge plinko machine and the outcomes currently in existence are not by any means the best engineered designs by any definition, they are just what random chance has happened to bring to this point without running into any dead ends where they were so vastly unsuited for the environment they died out”

But there’s probably additionally the fact that I’m probably a little bit of an outlier in having interpreted it this way

in fact I’m probably one of the evolutionary dead ends, because of 1. really really preferring non-penetrative sex and 2. not actually wanting to have a baby

and this is completely fine, because every generation will produce a whole lot of dead ends that won’t pass on their genes for whatever reason (partly because 1. in many cases such people will still contribute something useful to the community, and partly because 2. it’s a random plinko machine)

and if you try to explain “why people like that exist” from a viewpoint of “the only reason to have (any characteristic at all) is if it increases your chances of reproduction,” then you’re arguing with a plinko machine and i don’t know what to tell you
