I want to learn more exclamations that aren’t strictly just religious stuff. “Jesus Christ” this, “oh my god” that, nah I want something fresh.

What are some of y’all’s favorite exclamations that aren’t about god?

first submission and we’re already off to a fantastic start. absolutely love this one thank you

ok its time for the challenge round now we want nominations that arent about sex either actually

had a friend who used to make new ones up on the spot. The only one that stuck with me was ‘good golly jelly beans’. If something catastrophic happens I go for 'that’s not ideal.’

@chekhovs-tantrum

Absolutely not letting you leave these in the tags.

Hahahahaaaaa

This is fraggin’ amazing

… As for my own weird swearing… I’m too deep into Tron fandom because I have headcanons about how programs swear and they’re starting to rub off on me

And I unfortunately cannot tell you with absolute certainty that any of them are not about religion or sex

(because of my additional headcanon that Tron programs’ love for their programmers is both religious and sexual, and that a whole lot of the motivation for programs to perform most of their functions is that it gives them sexual pleasure, in addition to being part of the worship of their Users) (So like. Pretty much anything they mention could be both religious and sexual in some way)

Anyway they’ve got at least 3 separate F-words with distinct meanings

“Frag” refers to fragmentation, and is used in the contexts where it means there’s a problem (“that’s fragged up,” “they fragged us over”) (I chose it for “fraggin’ amazing” because it was so amazing it fragmented my brain a little and I needed a moment to recover, okay)

“Fork” is how child processes are made (“go fork yourself” indicates “you are doing such a bad job that you clearly need a child process to help you”)

“FSCK” (File System Check) is the closest to referencing the act of copulation (“Do you think they ever fscked?” = “Do you think they ever explored each other’s filesystems”)

(yes they did. They all did. the post-MCP Encom system is one big fscking orgy)
