…Inception
(was a cool movie, but that was actually the least believable part about it)
(the whole premise of what “inception” meant)
(not the “dreams within dreams” thing that it started meaning in common vernacular, that’s always been a totally normal thing for dreams. but what inception referred to in the actual movie)
(the premise that “giving someone else an idea and convincing them it’s really theirs” is so difficult that nobody thinks it can be done. in a world where people can literally infiltrate each other’s dreams it’s still considered an unachievable holy grail)
(the whole movie, i was thinking, “seriously. just say your idea out loud in front of a certain kind of dudebro and bam, instant inception. dude is not even aware you’re there. as far as his brain’s concerned, nothing outside him actually exists and that idea has always been in his head since time immemorial”)
