>it’s the author’s subconscious attempt to love themselfthis is meant positively by the way. sometimes you love the character so much you end up putting a piece of yourself in it to learn how it is to love yourself without realising and thats ok.
my attempts are not so subconscious these days
(i mean maybe some of the Tron fic i write is a little bit subtle about how the adoration between program and user is an expression of self loving self, since that which we write always contains something of who we are, and by loving our creations we love, and are loved by, ourselves)
(but then there was that one program/user couple who were both like. blatant self insert OCs lol) (and yes i do love them too)
