the first two programs doing some sort of snarky variant of the “I’m a Mac/I’m a PC” commercials and their Linux coworker just making so much fun of both their dumb asses
I’d read this fanfic, I’d watch a twenty-five episode season of a show based on it, fuck
They make fun of their Linux coworker for the silly name.
And the Linux coworker thinks that is just another reason to make fun of them some more
I still gotta figure out how they’re all interacting, if they’re made for different systems… Probably the programmer is just messing around with emulators for running all sorts of different programs on the same machine in defiance of all natural law
The programs make fun of him too probably

Haha ok I’d been thinking maybe their User is just an end-User who downloaded programs written by devs for all 3 of those operating systems….. but now that I gave it some thought I actually think it’s way funnier if he actually wrote all three of them
wrote each one for a different OS, deliberately gave them typical names for their file type, even though they were written to be working together in his little emulator hellscape in the same computer
he’s like “ok I’m naming the Linux app now i gotta get in character as a Linux dev” …and then he comes up with that
