I have been thinking about that “shadows of hands on the chest” drawing challenge or whatever and briefly considered doing it for some of my Tron blorbos but then I realized Tron programs don’t have shadows and this is messing me up lmao
guess their nips are just gonna be totally visible except programs don’t have those either lmfao hahahahahahaaaa
On Further Consideration!
…I think there is actually a canonical basis for what sort of light-physics an Encom-style Tron “shadows of hands on the chest” drawing would follow
Essentially: The way that human actors were inserted into the world of TRON (1982) involved:
ideally, the backgrounds were supposed to be replaced with whatever the scene background was. And the dark areas on clothing were supposed to be replaced with the character’s circuit color
HOWEVER
the process was imperfect, and so we got some delightful glitchy scenes where something else happened
Like, “the shadow of Flynn’s tunic on his thighs” being treated like “background”

And, well. you know how I love to interpret all the fliming glitches in this movie as canonical computer glitches in-universe
So. That’s why it’s canon that
So. Canonically, an Encom program’s “hand shadows on the chest” would, in fact, obscure whatever’s naturally on the chest
But they would do it by making the program’s chest invisible in those places.
Please someone draw this I would love it
