its-in-the-water:

This movie could have been a gif

hehe

There’s movies that I feel like I know the entire story despite having never seen because they are just Tumblr gifs to me

…weirdly enough…. Despite being here primarily for a movie that’s very much dependent on being a movie…. as a general rule, movie is not my favorite format by a long shot

I remember being fairly unimpressed when I saw Disney’s “Frozen,” on the home TV of a friend who’d been very impressed by it in theaters. i remember having this thought process:

-if a movie needs to be seen on the big screen to be good, it is not actually good

-if a movie needs the special effects to be good, it also is not actually good

-same goes for a movie that relies on tricks like lighting, music, camera angles… acting

-basically… if the story was really good, it wouldn’t have to be a movie. It’d be a book

-i think I’m just saying i like books better than movies.

(I expressed this a few times, in various ways, in other places where i talk about my interests online… before I caught the damn Tron bug and made this blog to wallow in what turned out to be a delightful but somewhat humbling experience for my high and mighty artistic tastes.)
