answering this question would imply I had any concept of what anyone else thought of me in gym class

from my perspective i was the kid who was trying to survive through it without getting killed or sent to the principal’s office. do not know what anyone else was thinking, or doing, or expecting me to do. nothing they said to me was ever comprehensible. all just a painful sensory blur

i still do not particularly like games of any kind. I like the story of Tron and Ram because they were suffering heroes for whom games were always primarily a form of torture.

(perhaps this has contributed to my eternal side-eyeing of Kevin Flynn. Or perhaps he just deserves that in general.)
