yep yep true. My eyes are too nearsighted to see stars at all without help (and yep, eyes not round… physics is everywhere, space is everywhere, and in this case physics has allowed the space my eyeballs take up to be pretty weird measurements lol)
And yep, through an atmosphere they can look all sorts of distorted and ever-shifting ways to our eyes. (Twinkle twinkle little star; the twinkling and the looking little from this distance have long impeded our ability to figure out what the fuck you are)
