With Tron Catalyst using ‘parallel’ as an analogue to ‘partner’ when up to now it’s usually been ‘counterpart’ I have 2 theories
1. It’s an ISO cultural difference
2. ‘Parallel’ and ‘Counterpart’ are 2 different types of relationship that humans don’t have separate words for, similar to how some countries have two different ‘blues’. Like the redundant functions vs complementary functions discussed in this post
