You ever make a joke and then try to imagine explaining it to anyone outside your very specific corner of your very niche fandom, and get exhausted just thinking about how many layers you’d have to address
Testing this out in an internal conversation with my Pattern Recognizer…
“so, Tron has some actor overlap with Babylon 5, including Bruce Boxleitner of course, but also Peter Jurasik who played both Crom and Londo Mollari. Londo is a Babylon 5 character who canonically has six tentacles that his species uses for sex. Crom is a compound interest program who we see being captured and put in the cells with Ram, at the beginning of the Tron movie. Both characters die later, Crom in a gladiator game against Flynn, and Ram while escaping the game grid. This joke theorizes that the two had sex while in the cells, and that Crom is endowed similarly to his Babylon 5 alter ego. It also makes reference to one of Ram’s lines, ‘So long, sucker!’ while derezzing an enemy Lightcyclist before his escape.”
