guy(s) who doesn’t know he’s plural yet:

yeah i just rlly like stories where someone has another person/personality inside that’s a manifestation of their anger and stress. I just relate to it a lot. for no reason. I also like headcanoning characters as systems. for no reason.

maybe this is why i’m into Tron.

not saying I am a system, but I’ve sure ended up being friends with a lot of systems, and they sure all tell me that I am, so I’m not discounting the possibility…

besides the whole Rinzler thing in Legacy, there’s just so much potential for different subroutines within a program, with varying levels of autonomy over the body

…in a world where the “body” is just a videogame avatar, and is only a single humanoid render out of habit, probably doesn’t even have to be

(we know programs have at least some ability to change their appearance at will… which, hell, is also a fantasy I like having)

funnily enough I really kind of like the idea that the central computer in the original movie– the whole, room-sized machine itself– was the only entity that was capable of true, conscious machine thinking

and all the programs within it were personalities living off the same cognitive function… though the only one recognized as such by Dillinger was the MCP

this doesn’t explain all of why the programs in that computer were the way they were… they “mirrored” their programmers in ways that probably would also require some level of spiritual, supernatural connection

but that can fit in alongside the technological aspects, any way you interpret it

…and anyway, I like the double meaning of “The Encom System.”
