Ah, Tumblr.

I’m getting a lot of those ghost notifications right now, the kind where the notification icon gets a blue number on it but you click and there’s nothing in your actual notifications tab

This happens when you get interaction in certain kinds of reblog chains (don’t know the exact criteria, but I believe “someone else who reblogged your reblog is now being reblogged” is part of it)

I’ve confirmed (by manually checking on more recent notes of some posts I reblogged) that yep, this is happening, recent tags are in response to things I said, I’m just not being told

Hey at least Tumblr is giving me a notification, even though it vanishes and tells me nothing except “you might wanna research.” Other times it doesn’t even give me that, and I don’t find out about reblogs until I think to check on my own.

More evidence that Tumblr never actually fixed their catastrophic reblog upgrade, only the most egregious bug in it (the one where reblog numbers showed up as literally nothing)

You always might be getting noticed more than you think. Chance is never zero.
