Hah.

Just got called an idiot in the comments of a post, by a total stranger, and I genuinely cannot tell whether

1. they misunderstood my comment and thought I was expressing different political beliefs (I do see in retrospect how my reasoning and wording may have been hard to parse)
2. they understood it and agreed with the underlying beliefs, but felt I was an idiot for using such convoluted reasoning and wording
3. they understood what I was saying but disagreed fundamentally with the political belief I was expressing

…and I am trying to remind myself that none of these scenarios would actually require me to respond, or would be at all likely to benefit from me dignifying this comment with any reply whatsoever.

I do not need to know.
