Ok so i am currently trying to get to sleep, and lately my most effective method of getting to sleep is to fantasize about either Tron and Ram, or their programmers Alan and Roy, from TRON (1982) until relaxed horniness shades into pleasantly sexy dreams
and I am running up against a similar problem
because the specific scenario I feel like imagining right now, features Tron and Ram during their time as cellmates, and it also features them starting out with some heavy kissing
but my imagination keeps rejecting it. because it doesn’t want to make an AU, and so it won’t let Tron kiss anyone prior to the end of the 1982 movie (when Flynn appears to have first introduced kissing to the digital world) unless I can come up with a convincing interpretation of canon that allows Tron to have actually been aware of kissing before then. And even if I can, my imagination is still reluctant to accept it, because it doesn’t fit into the main headcanon that I’ve written most of my fics in.
…slow buildup with lore and connections that ease the audience into a sexy scene that flows seamlessly and believably from the surrounding canon? is great in fanfic. It is not great when I am just trying to daydream myself to sleep. Fuck this
