…i would probably also think this, if it hadn’t been for a particular after-school program in my childhood where the staff gave us activities to do, and for some reason (probably infinitesimal educator budget) they did not buy the fun colorful pipe-cleaners for our crafts, but instead bought small simple white ones, which came in packages of maybe a dozen, clearly labeled with their intended purpose (cleaning tobacco pipes).

C'est une pipe. Just not that kind.
