My nordic ass will make a poll like “I wonder if anyone else has ever eaten a carnivore” as I have had bear stew perhaps one time in my life, and here I stand having completely fucking forgotten that some of you can, will, and have, eaten a goddamn crocodile. The concept of a reptile large enough to be worth eating had genuinely not occurred to me.

Most of the fish humans commonly eat are carnivores. If you’ve ever eaten tuna or salmon or herring or whatever, you’ve eaten a carnivore.

chicken are also largely carnivorous.

afaik most animals are at least somewhat omnivorous, it’s pretty rare for anything to be either 100% plant eater or 100% meat eater with no opportunistic eating of the other stuff.

if I heard someone talk about “eating carnivores” with their example being a bear. I would assume that by “carnivore” they meant “mammal belonging to the order Carnivora” because any other meaning could include like. almost anything

I mean I guess it could mean some of the animals that are really exclusively meat-eating, like snakes, or like. insects that exclusively eat some other kind of insect. BUT, then they wouldn’t be using the (very omnivorous) bear as an example.
