ok wait, reblog if you’ve cried at least once because of math, doesn’t matter which grade
i’m trying to prove something
have cried about basically every subject taught in school at least a few times.
Math more than most because it was personally the hardest for me
But pretty sure the crying was primarily about the whole ordeal of “being a kid forced to do things i didn’t wanna do”
a thing that, even when completely necessary for the sake of your health/safety/education, is still memorably awful just by being among the worst things your little self had ever experienced at the time
while also being objectively awful from any vantage point in your life just by the lack of freedom (just take any adult who claims to remember childhood as a happy time and trap them in a level of captivity resembling the happiest child’s life and watch them fight like bloody hell to escape)
and is still gonna leave you with nightmares forty years down the line that put into perspective how much better literally any year of your adulthood has been, ‘cause even if you still face all the same other oppressions and marginalizations you did as a child you now at least have slightly more say over what you can do to make life more bearable
at least that’s what I think the crying was about
