ok i looked this up too and my takeaway was: “ok yes I get what you’re going for, and I definitely understand the feeling, but also did this guy name his kid after his most famous assassination victim” and then “ok he did name his kid ‘Woodrow’ but if he got the 'Wood’ from "John H. Wood” then that would (heh) mean he was obsessing over that guy for several years before he killed him, and while that’s not an implausible thing for a killer to do, it is also quite possible that two names both including 'wood’ might just be completely unrelated, and my (known) overactive pattern recognition is, perhaps, just seeing faces in the woodgrain.“
