when I lived in Pennsylvania the thing that struck me most about the forests was how much greenery there was in between the trees. Especially vines. There’s not nearly that many vines in Minnesota.

I was especially fascinated when I’d see a tree that was in the middle of getting slowly strangled to death by a vine. I would imagine all the past time it took for the vine to get into that position, and all the future time it would take for the vine to either finish killing the tree, or for the tree to somehow win the battle and survive. Sometimes both the tree and the vine were so huge I knew the whole battle must be many many years long

Anyway. what I’m saying is, if anyone wants to start making a nature documentary like the ones about predators trying to hunt prey and their prey trying to escape, except with plants? i’d watch the shit out of that.

Except I won’t be alive to. probably. because it’ll take too long.

So hit me up and we’ll just, like, make a pact that you’ll start the project, and enlist apprentices to continue it for however many generations it takes.

and I will also do the same with my own apprentices, to watch it.

ok?

thanks.

peace and love. (except between trees and fuckin vines of course) <3
